I'm gonna start the fire but I'll be gone for a few days. Lets see what develops.

It would be interesting to see the same image but with % of poverty.

I doubt it's a race thing. More like wealthy people don't pollute their backyards.

I believe the lack of interest in this thread shows why we had GW for the last 8 years. No one give a sh*t anymore.

You mean it explains why a Democrat presidential candidate hasn't got over 50% of the vote since 1976 and not over 50.1% since Johnson in 1964.

Correct, if everyone voted, democrats would never lose a national election. Why? because when you ask everyone(not just likely voters) which party do u support, it's always 3 to 2 in favor of the dem's.

I guess religious zealots and greedy people are more motivated then tree huggers.

That isnt true. It is about 40% Dem, 35% Rep and 25% independant +/- 5%.

Swing and a miss, I said which party do u support. Not which party do u belong too.

I usually support Dem's, but I'm not part of the party for instance. Although I do like our Govenator.

Edit: Not to mention those stats are most likely either registered voters or likely voters.

Dems are more tree hugging. Consevatives are more children hugging. Take your pick because you can't win either way.

FYP.

It is about 40% Dem, 35% Rep and 25% independant +/- 5%.

Hard to say, because half the country doesn't vote. But I think you are overestimating the independents. At least as far as national elections go, I think people are far more partisan.
