Ever been knocked out of a tournament on the first hand??
You sit down, planning for an hour or two, or three if you do well, of poker playing. And in 3.4 minutes you are already sitting with no chips left. Happened to me when I flopped a straight on the first hand, then my opponent hit a river full house. I watched in shock as my chips slide away from my seat. I get up glazy eyed and... eat a sandwich or something. What's your story?

Well, funny you should ask but I just barely managed to pull a third out of a single table tourney where I was dealt pocket 4's on the first hand and the flop came 3 4 3. Being early in the game, everyone was more than ready to bet and raise so I was happy to just call them all down. The flop was rainbowed so I wasn't worried about a flush. I don't even remember the turn cause by then I was just watching the other two remaining, one on the right and one on the left, build "my pot". The river came a 10 and the first guy bets in. I raise this time and the other guy folds but the first guy raises so ok I figure he's got a 3 right? Nope, pocket 10's!! His boat 10's over 3's crushes my 4's over 3's. And I know being the first hand I had time to make up the loss but it just seemed to set the mood for the tourney. Not a decent hand from there on a I got lucky to scratch my way to 3rd.
