Everyone has a flush...who wins?

Postby allisong » Fri May 21, 2010 3:40 pm GMT

I was recently playing hold'em with my aunts and grandma. there were 3 of us still in after the river. the 5 comon cards were K of diamonds, 2 of diamonds, 5 of diamonds 8 of diamonds and 2 of clubs. I had 3 of diamonds and 10 of clubs. My aunt had 10 of diamonds and 2 of hearts, and my grandma had 9 of diamonds and Q of spades. My aunt says that the person with the 10 of diamonds won because it was high, but i argued that we use the King of diamonds, that was in the common hand, and share it as the high card and split the pot. Who knows for sure? Cant find a clear answer anywhere.

Look harder. The top thread of the RULES AND BEGINNERS' bit of the forum for example.

In this situation, always allow the best cook to win - It will get you a lot further in the future.

For me my aunts lasagne and roast dinners beat anything my granmda can cook. Besides, my aunt always has beer in the house.

Therefore, my aunt would always win a situation where nobody quite knows the rules.

Before my grandma has a chance of winning any homegame, I want at least one decent plate of pie and chips.

Home game jimmer is right lol

Seriously though

Aunt K♦10♦8♦5♦2♦

grandma K♦9♦8♦5♦ 2♦

you K♦8♦5♦3♦2♦

Flush with k 10 kicker

flush with k9 kicker

flush with k3 kicker

Who do you think wins ? The person with the highest flush
