Expanding KEMS

Postby Pokerfarian » Fri Jul 29, 2005 4:31 pm GMT

Gentlemen,

My poker group recently bought a set of KEMS to compare to our Copaqs.
In the end, we liked the Copaqs, a bit better, but we thought that we would try them both again the following week. I put the Copaqs back in their box, but the KEMS were left out on the table. The room is in an attic, and the A/C is only on for a few hours each week. The room must go up to 100 degrees and is probably as humid as it can get without actually raining.

The KEMS seemed to have expanded, in that the deck was probably 1 1/2 times at high as the unopened deck!

What is the deal with this? Bad set?; Easy to fix?; trash?

Any thoughts would be welcomed

Seems like a bad set to me. My cards are in similar conditions and mine haven't expanded from what I can tell.

You have to keep the kem cards in a cool place. Extreme heat will warp them. A buddy of mine left a deck in his truck over a summer and the heat bowed them.

Kems, definitely bow. Not too sure on the expansion side, but why not. Sounds like a good idea to keep them in a cool place. When not in use you should also try to put something heavy them to keep them flat.
