Face up 2-7 triple draw - ridiculous fun

While waiting for a game to start a couple of weeks ago, a buddy and I were messing about prop betting face up hands in lots of different games like Holdem, Omaha, Stud etc.

He asked me to pick one and I said we'd do triple draw but face up and have the ability to pick and choose our draws. Unlike all the other deals where the shuffle determined everything, in face up triple draw, there is still strategy, albeit pretty clear cut strategy given that everything is on show.

For some stupid fun, it is pretty awesome. Position is key since you can make perfect stand decisions on each draw in position and obviously you know what you are drawing against when you do need to discard so you know exactly how many to take.

We leave all the discards face up and on show which makes the third draw lots of fun when someone needs a certain one or two ranks to win and we know X of these are already dead or in someone's hand.

It sounds pretty dumb but it's good fun and even four handed it was good. We just did a certain $$$ amount per deal since you have perfect information and can't bluff so betting between draws is pointless.
