Fairly bonkers home game hand from Sunday night

Postby HalfSugar » Tue Aug 17, 2010 7:12 pm GMT

I'll try and set it out clearly, I certainly remember the action and the bet sizes.

We are 8-handed, the two big stacks (15,000) are UTG+2 and BTN on this hand, blinds are 100/200, UTG+1 has 6,500, everyone else has between 3,000 and 10,000 but they are largely irrelevant.

Blinds are posted, UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to 650, UTG+2 calls, fold, HJ calls, CO folds, BTN calls, SB and BB fold. Pot 2,900.

Flop [9d] [Ts] [Qs]

UTG+1 bets 2,500. UTG+2 moves all-in. HJ folds, BTN moves all-in.

Now remember, UTG+2 and BTN are table chip leaders and UTG+1 has 3,350 behind with action on her at this point.

UTG+2 is a super TAG player, BTN is a LAG player and UTG+1 is fairly new to the game and awful at odds.

Who is holding what based on the action? It's a doozy.

Action got back to UTG+1 who folded QQ face up ( ). She was getting the right odds to call but like I said, she's not good enough to know that. For her skill level, you could almost say she made a great fold. Almost.

Co-chip leader UTG+2 flipped over [Kd] [Jh] for the flopped nuts and other co-chip leader BTN flipped over [Ks] [Js] for the flopped nuts and the a sick re-draw to the straight-flush both ways.

The board hilariously went [2c] [9h] making the QQ fold as bad as it was. [9s] would have been a pretty sick river had QQ called.

RIGGED!

So, I only guessed 1/3, kinda disappointed...
I didn't even think being awful at odds might result on folding the top set, I would expect calling with gutshot or so instead, you tricked me well.

This skin disease afflicts newborn babies. It is a rare skin disease, believed to be caused by a gene mutation, which usually results in death within two days from birth.

Sorry, I thought Chrisopher's link was wanker.com. Which would've been appropriate.
