Felt for Poker table

Postby Teekan » Thu May 20, 2004 2:04 pm GMT

I didn't know what section this thread would fit in but this one so here goes it. :D

My friend has a octagon poker table, but the felt is all holy now and I wanted to fix it for him since It's goin to be at my house for most of the time. I was just wondering if anybody knows the best site to get the cheapest and wide variety of felt for a poker table.

Thanks alot all!

If you want good felt in lots of colors you're going to have to go with pool table felt and that's not cheap. If you want cheap and lots of colors try using a different cloth. Check your local cloth store for something that will work for you, try velveteen perhaps, or some sort of suede. I just ordered some speed cloth for my table, it's not the cheapest and it doesn't come in the most colors but.... well I'm not sure why I choose it. I guess cause it's a nice middle of the road option.

I've never played at a casino so I don't know for sure, but sometimes you will see speed cloth called poker cloth.

I got some speed cloth today. I thought it would be more, uh, "fuzzy" I guess. It's kinda plastic-y. It seems durable as hell though.

I went down to my local pool hall and made a deal with them on getting the old cloth and I gave the manager a Beer

Cheap and really nice,
