few deepstack MTT questions

Postby MrDarling » Wed Dec 05, 2007 5:26 am GMT

well, this comes after someone suggested a 1 rebuy MTT is basically a deep stack freezeout.

So, in deepstack MTT with which hands you call/raise AI

please reply fold/call/push
Pf scenario 1:
UTG+1 open 3XBB. MP call. LP raise 12XBB you're BTN:
A. AKs
B. J's / Q's
C. K's

2. same as 1 LP pushes (assume same stack sizes)

Post flop.
3. You raise AKs BTN after MP limper. both blinds call.
flop. A93 rainbow. checked to you.
A.MP c/r half your stack.
B. same, MP c/r AI
4. same Pf. flop is AsJs4d

Basically, what are your requirement to put all your stack in the middle when its deep against a random player.

I know normal MTT I probably not folding TPTK on a wet board. Am not sure what I'd do on a dry board (probably call as well)
and PF is pretty easy to stack off with Q's or AK...

proper deep stack mtt so say 300bb or more to begin with

scenario one: i might call A. and B. i'm not in favour of 4 bet tho its depending on players, but someone raising an ep raiser usually is strength
and i dont want to be in middle of raising war and be forced to fold
so actually folding isnt totally terrible but so deep u probably have to call

C i will 4 bet to around 40 or 50

2. i probably fold all but KK, since someone pushing so deep with AA isnt likely (thats just my assumption, if i know anything about the player it might change things)

on post flop i probably just fold coz half my stack and an all in would be big overbets and i dont want to stack off against a set, not when i'm this deep

I think it's silly to talk about pushing with 15BB in the pot and we have 300.

1.
A - Call
B - Raise
C - Raise

2.
A- Fold
B - J's is a fold, dunno about Q's
C - Call

3 - Rainbow flop makes it hard to figure a hand that would push so hard, so I push I think.

B - Dunno, again why push so hard with so much play (I don't think this is gonna happen a lot so deep) whatever call

C - Probably fold

Honestly deep stacked early on, it's pretty hard to get your stack in the middle, it's just an over the top move. Top 2 is probably my Min hand to WANT to get it in, the others are going to be tough folds/calls. Again I think early on you aren't going to see a ton of AI unless the pot gets out of control with 4 bets. Putting 250BB's in to win 50ish is absurd.
