First experience playing Live

Wtf.

Seriously, its the strangest game of poker i ever played. I had been training all day and wanted to be asleep by 11 so i could get up early and cycle to uni. Instead i got dragged into town for a game of pool and beer, which turned into several, a club and then the casino...and now im in uni and still havn't been to bed yet. Friends eh

I sat down at the $1/2 full ring cash game (max buy-in was 50 bb which i thought was strange, is this a live thing?) Table was playing crazy loose, maybe this is because it was 4am and everyone was hammered. But the standard PF opening raised was 7 x BB, people were calling 86o PF and happily shipping massive stacks with middle pair and shit kicker. I just played painfully tight and left the table a couple BB up.

i just couldnt understand the game, it was as far from ABC poker as you can get. Is this normal for live play or did i just get a wierd game?

completely standard. everyone says live players suck for a reason.

yes, but i would disagree with the "suck" part. It sounds like the casino sucks. Live play its pretty spewy and im happy to get into a 1/2 game anyday of the week.

opps misread what you wrote, yea live players suck in general. For some reason I thought you meant live play sucks.
