First tourney in ages and it's not pretty
Jesus, u'd think after months with no poker the gods would be smiling but no. I just got dumped out of a cheap tourney thusly:
Dealt pocket 5s.
Flop 7,7,5.
Turn 7. That did me in, his boat was bigger with a 9 river. I was too committed to toss it and it was fairly cheap anyhow.
Very next hand, dealt A,Qo.
Flop A,3,8 rainbow. Bet 75% my pot against 1 other. Raises me all-in. I go cos he's been loose all tourney. He turns A,K. It's all over. I despair

I feel your pain. I have sucked in my last 5 multis w/ best being 120 out of 1000.
Last night, short stacked (700TC/average 2000, 480/1000 players remain), dealt AQ bet 20%, flop comes A 9 3 rainbow. Guy bets 200, I go all in, he calls head up. Turn 3 river K, he has A 7-split pot w/ the K on the river instead of a huge win.
Next hand KQ suited, I call the 200BB, a short stack goes all in for 475 or so, big stack goes all in for 4K, another shorty calls, I go all in. Flop KQ 4, feeling good, turn a 7 and river an A. Big stack has AK to clean us all out.
Tourney before I had 1500TC early on and was dealt AK, bet strong preflop, 2 callers. Flop comes Q J 10 rainbow. I have the nut straight. The guy before me goes all in w/ his 800TC-likely split pot or trying to steal. I push all in and the 3rd dude waits forever before calling my raise w/ his 2000TC. GOLDED! At least a 50% pickup even if I split. Turn 6, GREAT! River 6-no problem! Except the 1st caller has QQ for a Q6 boat, 2nd dude had 10 10 for a 10-6 boat. Now that one really stung!

I followed it up w/ my worst tourney performance ever last night. $30 buy in NL 700 players at pp. I start the tourney in the BB w/ 89. Flop comes 3 8 9. The pot was 150TC (one raise to 30 preflop), one dude bets 15TC and 3 call. I go all in. One caller. He catches a str8. Who calls an all in w/ a str8 draw????????? One hand and out. Oh well.
