on really draw heavy flop i think you need to bet bottom set.

its more than possible someone limped with JT etc, they get given the perfect flop to semi-bluff, which leaves us in the dark when the turn comes.

I'm good with the flop c/r,, but you have to follow that with a turn bet. Also make the checkraise bigger on the flop ($9-$10). You played this hand like you have TPGK or 2pr, so your hand is underrepped for Villain. Do you have any reads on him?

I'd bet this turn majority of time too, but I don't hate c/cing and seeing a river. c/ring might be better, I always wondered...

He would have to never have a flush, and either have a pair with no spade or an overset.

Miaow suggests chkraising which is good against dumb tricky opponents who may chk a flush behind (doh), or dumb aggro who may fire anything when checked to.

Against anyone decent who will balance their betting and ckbacking, betting is far better.

i know i played this hand terrible, check calling and then folding river was terrible. turn i thought the bet was a bit big for a made flush then the river bet seemed like a value bet. i still cant make my mind up to what villain had, my best guess is a small flush that was afraid of a 4th spade on river so the pot sized turn bet
