Flopped sets on suited or connected flops
This came up twice yesterday.
Hand 1: NL100 6max, villain just sat down at table (his first hand). Effective stacks 100.
Button limps,
Hero in SB with Q
Q
raises to $5
V in BB calls, Button folds
Flop Q
J
5
Hero best $12 (pot size bet)
V calls.
Turn 8
Hero best $40
V calls
How's my line so far? How do I play river? Bet a non heart? Check/Fold a heart? Bet anything?
Hand 2:
V is new to table. Been here 2 rounds. but raised the button each time. Effective stacks $100
Action folds to V on button who raises to $3.50
Hero raises to $8 5

BB Folds, Button calls
Flop 5
6

Hero bets $22 (pot bet). V goes all in.

hand 1: if villian is aggro enough i c/c any river...
hand 2: snapcall... think of it like this... why did you call preflop? to hit your set? well now you hit your set and someone pushed.. isn't that what you were calling for?
