FREE Table Construction Plans

Postby ORGrinder » Tue Mar 16, 2004 6:06 pm GMT

I happened to get myself a couple sets of plans... one being that 23 pager that's floating around out on ebay and the net... and decided that I'd author my own plans based on what I had learned from these others, and based on my experiance during the actual construction.

I have finished with Stage 1 (you'll understand once you see the instructions) and have posted them up for y'all to partake in.

Thank to carson for allowing me to post this.

holdem table

Postby dannyocean » Tue Mar 16, 2004 7:15 pm GMT

This site would have to be the best I have seen yet. It has all the instructions for the table and the arm rest.

Enjoy!

Do you know where to get felt? Casinosupply.com has it, but it's only in burgundy & green. I'd really like a navy blue felt.

Table Covering and Legs

Postby bartish12 » Thu Mar 18, 2004 10:35 am GMT

Great looking table. I am in the process of making one myself. Ideally, I would like it to be a folding leg table - however, I do not know where you can purchase just folding legs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

my plans will use a banquet style table. the table will NOT be perm attached to the poker table top. this way you can use the banquet table for other things if need be.

you could go this route... but if you want to make the table fold, you'll need actual legs. any lowes or other similar hardware store should sell them. i think my lowes has them for something like 35 bucks. they're the same thing as on the banquet tables and should work fine for you.

I thought they were both the same type of plans. Who really cares how the legs go on. I thought both sites were very similar. I didn't post this to "crap on your thread", I posted to let others know what else is out there. Thought everyone might like to see how the rail goes on. That's the truly tough part. The tables a breeze, the rail is where it can make or break the look of your table. Also, there's a section on the website where they have other peoples tables. It's the first site where I've seen multiple examples of the same type of table. Very informative. Helped me out.

Where'd you guys get your felt? There is some stuff on ebay called "velveteen" does anyone know about that material?

I'm torn between creating a vinyl railing and just buying the pre-fab stuff from casinosupply.com.

I tried Lowes and Home Depot. No luck. They sell the table but its not made of particle board. The tables are made of heavy duty plastic.

I asked if they sold the legs by themselves and they said no. Unless Im asking an employee that just doesnt know? I looked around but you know how Lowes and Home Depot is. You could look all day and never find what you need.

holdem table

You can get the felt anywhere. I bought mine off of ebay. It was advertised as Billiard Cloth. The heavier the better. As for the Foam, the padding I got from a car upholstery place. They called it Landau padding, goes under ragtops on cars. The padding for the railing can be bought anywhere you can find thick padding.

Cant remember where I read it but someone was saying they like velvet over the felt. Velvet still has the feel to felt in addition it lasts alot longer than felt. Is that the case?

a guy on side-pot used the felt. he says he loves it. cards slide reall nice on it i guess and it looks great too. plus, it's probably cheaper than the speed cloth. i plan on pricing it out myself once i get to that point in my table construction.
