FTP iron medals best value

Postby MrDarling » Tue Jun 10, 2008 5:58 pm GMT

Decided to check and see what is the best value one can get from Iron Medals on FullTilt.

medals for cash - when converting medals to cash the cash is released as a bonus, and your rakeback is effected by said bonus.
so
600 medals = $100 X 73%= $0.12 pet medal
3000 medals = $600 X 73% = $0.14 per medal

however exchanging to tournaments tokens doesn't effect RB
so
140 medals = $26 = $0.185 per medal and
400 medals = $75 = $0.187 per medal.

Am not sure how to assign $ value to points, but even though exchanging to points doesn't effect RB using points does.

So am pretty sure I'm going to start converting my medals to tokens.

Any thoughts insights?

Danny

If you could get into tournaments for 75% of the buy-in would you?

You have to remember some of us are much slower then you and you really need to spell things out or draw a picture or something.

Let's say you have 6,000 medals (I used this b/c it's the least common denominator of 400 and 3,000). That gives you two options: 1) $840 in cash 2) $1122 in tournament entries.

$840 is 75% of $1122, so it would be correct to take the tournament entries if a tournament entry's value was 75% or more of the entry.

What I'm asking is how much is playing in a $X tournament worth to you? I assume it's less than $X b/c you usually play cash games rather than tournaments. However if playing an $X tournament is worth more than 0.75*$X to you, then you'd be better off with tournament money.

wow, I'm shocked. I actually thought you meant something like that.

Obviously if you never play tournament use the cash. However since I do play tournaments occasionally (actually built my BR with tournament success) choosing tournaments token is the most valuable option to me :
