results in white. Kinda of confused by this one. I really sensed weakness so i thought i'd press it. When he shoved i figured i was pot committed and with outs. But i was really surprised and felt embarrassingly schooled

If i check the turn do i not risk playing too transparently with my c-bets?

Im well aware playing the turn is the biggest leak in my game (harrington on cash Vol2.) is in the post as i write so hopefully will help me out.

Firing twice against short stacks isn't great. If they call the flop they generally aren't folding.

I don't mind firing twice sometimes to stop floating but at these levels I don't know how profitable it is, and I know it's not vs shorty.

BTW, mini raise in EP at these levels is very often a small pair, and don't expect them to dump it if they call the flop.

Bingo.

I think you should have known there was a pretty good chance you were beat when he called you on the flop. Definitely time for a check-fold on the turn.

And you shouldn't worry about your c-bet issue... nothing wrong with c-betting AK with that flop. It's not like you're c-betting every flop with garbage...atleast I hope not.

its not like he read your soul or anything. He just thought I have a pair, if I call the turn I'll need to call the river I might raise AI my self. more then likely trying to rep T9 then raising for value.

This is why its a big spewy to 2 barrel against bad players, especially with Sd value.

I think villain's play is much worse than hero's, because he doesn't beat much of hero's range and there is almost no chance to make him fold.

I didn't see the results until now lol.

I agree 100%. Villain should have put Kemics on atleast a higher pair. His push on the turn is terrible as he should realise Kemics is committed and will call to "pay him off" so to speak. Is he hoping to hit a 2-outer 3 on the river? His play on the turn is really bad.

Like I said, I didn't look at the results until now. I still would have check-folded to villain on the turn though but yes, this is an idiotic play by villain unless he somehow knew you had AK which is not really possible,

Re-raise more pre-flop, like to $1.00.
