Great New Chip Storage Ideas from Home Depot
Well, here it is, my poker-on-the-cheap traveling tournament setup.

Components:
Husky Tool Box (Casa de Pot), $20
Foam Insert (found in my closet), $???
10 Chip Boxes (5 Star Deal), $11
4 Chip Racks (Ace High Supply), $11
1000 Faux Clay chips (5 Star Deal), $60
2 sets of KEMs (Rochester Chess Center & Nicetoys), $43
Total: $145
I have 10 buy-ins pre-arranged in the boxes, and 10 re-buys in the top two racks. As you can see, I could actually fit 1400 chips if I completely filled in all the boxes and racks. And if I got rid of the racks and used all boxes, I could have 1500 chips maximum capacity.
Yes, it is freakin' heavy. The box construction isn't all that great--the lid doesn't seat very tightly when closed. It feels like it just might burst if dropped from a significant height. But, hey, only twenty bucks.
