Greetings from Oz
Been boating around the Whitsunday Islands, Queensland, Australia for a few days. Got down to three cases of beer, figured we'd better spend a few days in port to stock up and do laundry.
Wonderful place, great weather. It's all apples. Go if you ever have a chance.

Phil:
I'm fortunate enough to be friends with a couple who know how to sail, and they've taught others in the crew. I'm kind of an apprentice, having sailed with these guys in the British Virgin Islands a couple of years ago.
They are currently on assignment in Australia for work, so they did the research to find a charter and invited us all down.
Great fun, interesting to learn a little bit about sailing, reading the charts, working on the boat, et cetera. They've been very patient with me when I couldn't figure out the knot, or let the line go too fast, or whatever.
Great weather, it's tropical enough (20 degrees south) that the it's nice even in winter. 70s high, 60s low. Not great wind for sailing, we've had to motor some, but can't complain.
zinn:
I was just telling the skipper last night after dinner if I was younger, I might have to move to Australia. Man, it seems like the percentage of beautiful women here is much higher than in the states.
Anyway, if anybody wants any other kinds of details, PM or put a reply. I may not see anything for a couple of weeks yet.
