Haha total mess on Sunday
I just played the Sunday invite and made a total mess of it. I got enough good hands, but screwed it up. First one I pressed fold and show by accident when I already bet off 2/3 my stack. Another I went for a bathroom break as quick as I could and came back to see AKs. I pressed raise pot and at that EXACT moment it timed out. I would have tripled up during that pot. I finally went out in the end when I was shortstacked and I played two 8s against two Ks. I flopped an outside straight draw, but since I'm not a river-rat freeroller I didn't get my 8 or my 2 ends.
Pretty pathetic I think. I'm more or less done with this game. It's not for me. I think it's just gambling anyway except at high stakes. Good luck to the rest of you though, it's a good forum.

Yeah, it really is too bad that the TEC invite didn't work out. However, I would suggest that you think about quitting Hold'Em altogether a little more. If you really don't like it, then quit. However, just consider that you've only played freerolls and play money games, which really suck compared to even micro-limit. Before you quit altogether, think about depositing $25-$30 and playing some micro-limit.
Good Luck!

I would agree with Ninja. I started on the freerolls, and eventually started in the real money. There really is no comparison. The freerolls are just full of no-foldem's so most hands you are relying on the poker gods to give you a hand.
In the real money tourney's and SNG's other players are more likely to fold with crap, and it is definitely more exciting to play. I'm not much into the micro limit, but I use them once in a while to build up the bankroll when I have a bad run in the SNG's.

Freerolls bear no real relation to actual poker, the very fact that you can just click a button and your back in the game encourages bad play.
pretty much same goes for micro limit ring games.
i would strongly advise anyone who can't afford to play at higher level ring games to try a $10 sit & go tourney, after the initial few hands the play gets a lot better, i'm not saying you wont get outlimped by someone who shoulda been outta the pot on flop occasionally, but the play is more ......... as it should be.
