Happy new years

Postby supafrey » Thu Jan 01, 2009 4:33 am GMT

bit tipsy me. went to a pub and hung out with friends. cab'd home and had a smokey poo.

ITT we discuss how we spent our new years! One and all post and be merry.

Shana tova and good luck in the new year to all. I mean this for poker, of course, but more importantly for the health and well being of yourself and your loved ones!

(Random Trivia: For many countries [like atheist soviet Russia] New Years Eve is actually the biggest holiday of the year! As a child, "Ded Moroz" [Father Frost] would come every January 1st and give presents under the tree, much like the American Santa. I'm not joking. Happy holidays!)

negative. Ded Moroz and Santa/Kris Kringle/Jack Frost are verrrry different in their origins.

Happy New Year to one and all. May 2009 be better then 2008 (even if 2008 was great for you).

New Years Eve I watched some movies at home with the wife and just had a few drinks. We kissed and had a toast when the New Year hit for the East Coast, then when it hit for the Central time zone we had another kiss and toast.

New Years day we watched the Tournament of Roses parade then a movie. I made a small pot of mushroom soup and a small pot of potato soup. We also made a prime rib dinner with all the fixings (salad, baked potatoe, soup, veggies and the prime...plus homemade French Silk pie for dessert).

Pretty uneventful but it worked well for us.

I just went to a mate’s house, he usually throws a small party every New Year.

One of his WOW clan mate’s actually came over from Boston to visit and the three of us ended up chatting and drinking through till 8am. Turned out that he did a double major one of which was in psychology and with the alcoholic lubrication it turned into a bit of a therapy session.

All in all it was a good night/morning, however my body clock is now f**ked, since I’m sleeping during the day.
