Help with my game
Recently I played in my first live tournament at Coushatta in Lousiana. I played very well tight aggressive. My last hand I was 2nd in chips at the table reraised the chip leader from 3000 to 6000 when the blinds were 500-1000 with kings. I was in middle posisition. He took his time and said "I'll see the flop as he called" Flop comes 4jt rainbow. Check, check. 6 comes on the turn he checks I go all in for another 6000. He calls turns over KQ and catches a 9 to get his straight on the river. My first live tournament I got in the top 50 so I was okay with that, but since then it seems that I can't catch a break online.
The most recent event. Last night I played my usual $3.40 sng on pokerstars. Played one hand to the river and lost. I had top pair J kicker and they had trip 9's. I was still ok on chips didn't play another hand until my last. I was low on chips(550) got KK and push get called by 44. 4 comes on the flog and I'm out. Didn't get in the money.
So here is my question. I am playing the same strategy online that I played in the live tournament. Is this wrong? I fold a lot but when I get good cards I raise aggresivly. Is this just a bad streak of my cards not hitting? Another thought that I had that maybe way wrong is that I am playing too low of level. But if that is the case shouldn't I be winning at the low level I'm at? When you don't play a hand and raise shouldn't people repect the raise? I know they respected my raise in the casino. Its becoming very frustrating when I am not getting out played but loosing. I'm not trying to say I should never loose but somehtings not right and I don't know what it is. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

search and reread the millions of posts identical to the one you just posted. This is basically the #1 thing that new players say and it's wrong in like 10 different ways that become to complex to explain. Just read read read these forums and a couple books and you'll start to realize things like why you should bet that flop with kings, why you want people not to respect your raises when you have good cards, the fact that you're trying to win money instead of individual pots, etc.
Just read dude. And for the love of god don't play higher stakes, it only gets harder despite whatever assumptions you want to make to the contrary.

Can't really tell but from reading your post alone it looks like you need a lot of work and/or experience with your game after pre-flop...which is basically what makes poker poker. Sorry can't provide better advice but continue to study the game and keep playing WELL within your means until you start figuring out the nuances. Unfortunately most of this will be gained via hard-nosed experience (mistakes and beats until you adjust) but this is what all successful players have to go through.
