Home game-3 players left

Postby jimmer » Fri Jul 04, 2008 9:23 pm GMT

Started off with 8 off us, 1000 chips each.

We are down to the last three. The chip stacks are;

Me 6,000
Player 1 1000
Player 2 1000

The blinds are 160/320

I'm in the SB, the button folds. I look at 39 off suit and am thinking "hey this is shit, but I should raise all-in"??????

Am i right?

If so, why, if not why?

What is the payout structure? If not so important, you might get called with any 2 cards, BB is committed. You are probably not favourite, but might not be behind that much. Gambling.

I'm interested in what some of the good tourney player have to say.

What range do we give BB to call us BTW? I'm thinking ATC which leans me toward folding.

this is a homegame... i'd easily get AI in a 60/40 spot... even if you double one up... you still have a 3:1 chip lead...

There was a long thread about this on 2+2 forum couple months ago on exact same topic. About 50% people said ship it in others said they werent sure. If not mistaken it was with the exact same hand you are asking about. If the BB has 3xBB then if hes got half a brain hes shoving any 2 regardless but we dont know how good he is. I think both lines have vaild arguements, but think i would go with supa on this and say fold.

A fold costs us 1/6th of their remaining stack. I'd rather give them that 15% boost and wait for something better than 7 high.

anyone consider the possibility we're actually ahead here?

a 40% chance to bring it HU... i'd take that any day... not to mention there a % chance he actually folds....

We are all in the money. We each paid £5 ($10).

1st=£25
2nd=£10
3rd=£5

They were both pretty tight-passive. They were basically waiting for the right time to push all-in. They both knew I was gonna call with pretty much everything. Indeed, they both new that I wasn't gonna let them limp to see the flop.
