Home Game in Hertfordshire UK

Postby BigDukeSix » Fri Jul 18, 2003 12:23 pm GMT

I am running a home game in Stevenage Herts, currently every 3 or 4 weekly. We play Tournament style £10 buy-in No limit Hold Em. The stakes are low as there are a lot of beginner players, so more beginners welcome!

If anybody is interested leave your email here and I will get back to you. If we can increase the number of players, we may be able to increase the frequency of games.

May the poker gods be with you....

Simon

Simon

I live in Hemel Hempstead and I currently travel to the Midlands every few weeks to play a bit of poker with my friends there. We play a very similar style to that which you outlined. We usually play £5 or £10 buy in (we have been known to play £20) straight knockout tournaments, winner takes all. Occasionally (well, once in fact!) we have played a £5 rebuy tournament - we played maximum 3 rebuys and top up with a prize structure that paid down to third. The idea of that format was to ensure that nobody was at risk of being knocked out too early - an ever present danger in friendly tournaments.

If you are still running your games I would definitely be interested as Stevenage is a bit closer than Wednesbury.

My email is james.birnie@ipdindex.co.uk

Regards

James

Simon and Jim - I live in Reading, Berkshire (though I grew up in Hemel, Jim!), and am looking for home games. Maybe we could take it in turns to do the driving (I have a game once a month or so at my house).

I Know that its some time since you posted this message....

However, do you still meet up and are you still looking for players?
