horrible, horrible beat to bust out in 2nd in live MTT
Heads up , live B&M rebuy MTT tourney (30 players)
Hero- 90k
Villian- 80k
Blinds- 2000/4000 1000 ante
Hero- (BB)- 10
4
Villian- (Button)- limps for 2k
I check
Flop
10
3
2
I bet 10k
Villian calls
Turn
6
, giving me top pair with an inside straight flush draw
I bet 15k
Villian raises all-in
I insta-call
Villian tables 6/7o, not a single diamond
River
Black 6
f*ck
next hand I'm SB, and with the ante I'm left with just enough to call the BB, and I call in the dark. deuce/trey offsuit, and villian takes it down.
Criticize my all-in call if you wish, but this shit was just ridiculous.

You probably took something nice down for second place, though?
Easy opponent- 2 face cards, he pushes PF
Top Pair, he'll either push or CR all in
He bets approx 1/3 his stack on draws, regardless of pot size.
Ace/rag is treated by him like gold. (He called my all in blind steal on the button, with A9s. I also had A9, but he limped UTG then called 6 more big bets, risking a knockout.
No way he has a T, no way he already had the flush.
The second he called my 10k bet on the flop, he was done. Unfortunately for me, regardless of 2nd place cash, the humiliation of losing to such a horrid player was more unbearable than the actual loss.
That's poker, yadda yadda yadda, I've done more than my fair share of HU cash games, HU SNG's, and I have shitloads of HU experience, but I guess it just boils down to God likes him more than me. Oh f.ckin well, goddammit.

Also, when it was down to 5, they all wanted to chop, which I refused. So I'm sure they're all laughing now that the guy that wouldn't chop, that was chipleader, lost. Whatever.
damn, I need some barbituates

Played him like a fiddle and he caught the four-outer. It is tough to get over, especially when your opponent is not a good player.
Normally, I'd advise against poor players that you don't need to push every small advantage. Just be patient, there will be an opportunity where you have a greater advantage before long.
The way this played out, though, I can't see any point at which it makes sense for you to get away from this. Possibly when he pushed, but you had the great read that he didn't have TP/BK or flush.
