Hot stamping
quick question here. Can hotstamping be done on a chip AFTER a purchase has been made?
I'd like to make an order of 1000 clay spotted chips from pokerchips.com and send them to thechipstore.com and have a custom dye made for hotstamping, has anyone tried this?
it'd be like $500 for the chips, then another $250 for the stamping (shipping not included in either of the prices).

That wont work... thechipstore.com does not really hot stamp, they are using the Chipco process. Well I take that back, they CAN hotstamp but it is the same foil process everyone else uses and I think it is limited to 13 metallic colors. Hot stamping is very limited in what you can do and IMHO it would be a travesty to hotstamp a nice set from pokerchips.com Just spring for the custom chips...

Well, my dad has a set of custom hot-stamped unicorn mold chips he picked up from a defunct indian casino (not bad imo). I liked the look and feel of those chips. My main limiting factor is that i dont exactly have the cash to spring for a $1000 set of chips. But, i do have the cash to pick up a $500 set of chips, then spring for the stamping when time and money allows.
