HOW CAN THIS BE? seven card stud....
ok, im getting pretty annoyed right now.
I thought, lets play seven card stud for a while.
So i see a table at interpoker. 8 people play at a table,
and i start wondering.... 7 card stud,.....8 people......52 cards in a card deck.
This doesnt make sense and nobody can tell me how this can be.
if everybody checked it to the river you would need 56 cards..
So, the question is... can u make 5 of a kind or something..
Ok I'm obviously missing something here but i just cant think of a reasanoble(how do you spell this im dutch), explanation.
Can you?
Enlighten me plz,
Btw, lot of new posts today, helps me get through work, thanks to everybody!

Once there are no longer enough cards left to deal to the remaining players, the river or 7th street is dealt face up as a community card that all players share.

If there are not enough cards to give everyone a 7th street then a single 7th street is used by everyone. It's a community card, like hold'em.
edit: crap, why did it take me 3 minutes to read this thread so Sean could beat my reply?

Considering the number of up cards that would be visible on 6th street and the wealth of information they would provide I guess it would be unlikely that all 8 players would think “yea it’s worth staying in for that last card, even though I can see X players that have me beat already regardless of their hole cardsâ€

Wow! They must have a tight game there. It's a little surprising that it's that rare. I don't play a heck of a lot of stud, but I do occasionally. I've seen it a couple times in the past few months, once online, once at a B&M.
