How did I not stack this guy???

Postby Dave B » Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:21 pm GMT

Online, NL full ring cash game, UTG w/ JJ raise to 2x BB. All fold to tightest player who smooth calls (scary).

Flop J 4 3 rainbow....JACKPOT!

I check, he bets 1/2 pot, I smooth call.

Turn 10, I check, he bets the same amount (1/4) pot, I make a pot sized raise.

He mucks and shows QQ face up.

Was he thinking that the only hand he can beat was AJ and put me on AA KK or JJ 10s or J10?? I was a bit surprised. We both had big stacks behind us too.

well, you practically told him you have QQ beat. He's also losing to KK, AA, JT and any possible lower sets.

Whats up with the min open and the FPS? just open normal, cbet normal (unless you've been check/folding a lot and he was stabbing a lot)
I'm pretty sure if you bet,bet bet he will call all the way down. Might even raise the flop or turn.

Sorry, miss key'd, I raised 4x, like I always do when I open, whether I have AA, AK or 23. It is limp or 4x. I only vary that if I am not the 1st one in.

Looks like a pretty standard fold to me. I know Poo-flingers never lay down an overpair, but with deep stacks, people don't stack off with QQ very often. ;)

TBH he'd have to be a pretty big station to get stacked there unless you guys have some history.

Make a note and start playing your draws the same against him.

I guess a week of watching idiots in LV and equally poor SNG play will mess up a guy pretty quick.

Is there a fold and show button anywhere other than cereus?

I love the fold and show button.

AP (where I think Dave plays) UB as well as other fish pond sites.

Yeah, I loved it as well when I had it.
