How do you know if your drinks are comped?

Postby Cyberhwk » Wed Sep 22, 2004 1:25 am GMT

The forum title is "Beginner's Questions," never said it had to be specifically about poker.

But the title says is all...How do you know if the waitress is giving you a free drink or a drink you have to pay for?

I went into one local casino and just ordered a coke. It was delivered and I never heard anything about it again. Well just recently I went into a different one (owned by the same people actually) ordered a Hefeweisen then had the waitress come back and say, "That'll be $3.50."

At first I panicked, realizing I had no actual cash on me and was unsure if I even had my checkbook with me (which I did), but I eventually paid in chips (I was going to give them all to them anyway, might as well give some to the bar).

well, coke and beer are 2 completely different things. I'd say if you're getting free alcohol then somebody would have let you know. Maybe she just forgot about you after she gave you the coke.
