The best thing is that 2 hands previous i lost a $38 pot when I flopped a set and some guy hung around until his flush appeared floatin down the river.
I kept careful count today. 7 river beats. 4 that put me out of tournaments, sit n gos or multis, and 3 that cost me a total of $103.
I HATE THE RIVER

No problem, this is the place to do it. Sometimes I blow up a little at them, but usually I just say nh and laugh at their stupidity. It's frustrating to watch them. Limit hold'em has to be the worst. You can't put them at a real decision for their money so they call everything. They are impossible to put on a hand.
And in case you are wondering. You were favored by 73% on that hand but he had implied odds I guess with all of the betting on the river.

after getting away from it for a while, the dude had a TON of outs. 9 Diamonds and the 4 10's. He was getting way better than 13 to 1 pot odds. my own fault for not raising on the flop. Live and learn how to play limit.

Yep, you were done on the turn. The guy had 4-1 pot odds right there assuming nothing happened on the river. He had 12 outs with the diamonds and 3 remaining 10s. That's about 3-1 to make his straight or flush which he had to assume was good enough to beat you. His implied odds were even better though since he got so much out of you when it hit (like 10-1).
The problem with limit is I doubt you could have even got him to fold on the turn. $1 is going to scare this guy off? Not likely unless you got some reraises. He'd probably have seen that turn regardless.

Hey, nick, I've got ultimate buddy. . . we don't play at the same tables much, but we could shoot the . . . breeze. . . while folded. . .

Not to mention in his eyes he say that he had two overcards on the flop...you could easily be calling with a 9 with a mediocre--weak kicker right? It was a tough beat, and I'm sorry it happened but it seems you HAVE gotten over it now.
