How else could i have played this?

Postby nicthestick » Sun Jan 25, 2004 1:52 am GMT

Ok, so im playing in the UB Aruba trip tournament. It is the first level, and the blinds are 5 and 10. I am on the button with KK. the bet is to me with 4 limpers. i raise to 200 to protect the Fellas. one caller. Flop comes 4s 8s Jd. The caller bets the pot. I read him as a flush draw or AJ. so i move in. Dude calls............ with A3 spades. 4th street rag, river floats a big fat A. I meani supose that the prudent thing to do was to lay them down when dude bet the turn, but honestly, how many of you would have done it? I cant complain too much. I did finish 2nd in the Sat 6:00 PM 20 + 2 NL multi with 203 players. the account is now healthy again :D

You put him on his cards, You couldnt have played it differnt maybe Forced him all in on turn, You put him on a flush draw or AJ which he had the draw, You kinda knew what you were getting into but it would have been a hard laydown...lol

blinds were too small to justify moving allin before the flop.

All in on the turn, Not preflop. This could have possibly stoped him from his flush draw. Thats the only thing i can see.

All-In for a such a small pot in such an early round...I don't like doing that...rather lose some chips and still be in it than gamble all so early imo

He could have had flopped trips aswell with that 8
