For me personaly when I first started playing about 4 years ago, I was doing very very well. I had very few losing sessions and played a insane aggreisve game. Three barreled many raised pots and didnt let go. After getting deeper in poker and reading threads, I started changing my game and wasnt working well. I went losing for about a year or so and never made much happen.
Now the past 2 years I usually spend about 600-700 a month in tournies entries and end up scoring a win for 1200+ and im a genious again. You will probably notice there is things that you are better then at for example SnG's to cash games. Obviously stick with what you are good and I wouldnt recommend diving into unknown territory. If you are making transistion to cash do it slowly cause you could dump alot of money in things your not used to.
