How much will I need to go to vegas?
Ok guys, I need a bit of help. I am HOPING to go to vegas for the wsop, I don't have enough money right now to go, but say I wanted to stay for 3 weeks ish , I would need to hotel costs covered, flights , then money to play cash games, and satelites and maybe even the odd Freezeout. So if anyone could give me an idea of how much I would need, that would be great. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Agree. Have never gone there with less than 10K-15K since 1990. Taking advantage of discounts and freebies can really add up. Saved about 2K using those during my last trip, which was 10 days. I received discounted room rates, and many freebie meals, drinks, and shows for 3 people. Just search the papers and 'handout flyers,' and ask people. Good luck.

Cool million.
Realistically? Depends on what the plan is while there. Depends on what events you plan to play, whether you will play cash games, what you think your edge is, whether you will play satellites, etc. If you're going for the ME, I would definitely try to win a seat on PS/FT.
Check your room rates, estimate what you will spend on cabs/food, etc (it can get expensive quickly, but there are some cheap and tasty dives in most casinos).
If you're going to play a tournament or two over the span of more than a week, you will definitely need $6000+, likely more depending on specifics.
The $10,000 figure is reasonable just to be comfortable and have a little bit of a flexible roll.

Bump it up to $15,000 to be safe. You never know when your gonna meet some sweet little lady that you might want to swoon and romance...
.
Now if you plan to play the cash games with the big boys you might want to just take a cool $1,000,000 just so you don't feel under bankrolled...
One big word of advice...stay away from people offering FREE show tickets. It's a scam to get you to visit a time-share.

look online and see how much your flight an hotel will be. get a package deal. i'm going in a month and it was $750 for a week at bally's flight included.
I know you said three week.s but this should give you a general idea.

UaU's idea of "swooning and romancing" is paying for sex, fwiw.
Nahhhhh....my name isn't Zinn0. Besides I am married so I already pay for my sex...

Take $5,000, walk up to the first roulette table you see, put it on red. There's your ME buyin.
No, wait, black!
Seriously, hotel and flight you should know beforehand. Depending how much non-poker stuff you want to do (i.e., shows, nice dinner vs. Burger King, etc), from $100/day to $300 seems like it oughta be pretty good walking-around money. Although I'm usually on the Burger King side, might need to ask others about more fancy stuff.
Poker, it's just a matter of stakes and amount of time you want to play. Regardless of the stakes you normally play, make sure to take a night off and play some $2/$4 $3/$6 type games and drink a few beers too.
