How should I play this hand?

What should I do here, raise (how much), all in?, or flat call?

Obviously no reads, as he's new to the table. There's 249/640 left, I'm about 170th.

All help would be greatly appreciated.

Given his stack size, I'd be tempted to shove but a 3-bet to ~1,500 is also OK provided you snap call an all-in from him. Calling and folding are not options.

I shoved; He produced 8s. Flop came 4,8,A. Busted. Out of the tournament.

I was so annoyed, but just wanted some feedback, to see if I should have played it any different. Obviously I'd be betting the flop with tptk? So can I just call it a bad beat and move on? I hope so! haha.

I think unless the flop was all spades or clubs, it's all going in anyway 99% of the time.
