How To Clean Kems?

Postby ALEN-TNT » Thu Mar 17, 2005 5:16 pm GMT

Hey, well I just purchased a set of Kems and I want to know what you use to clean them besides just water and a towel. Will something like Windex work?
Any help?

They're pretty sturdy so you could probably get away with lots of different products.

I'd say use the least thing that will get the dirt off, so it depends on the dirt! A simple damp paper towel will probably do 90% of the time. Add a little dish soap for just about everything else, and maybe a quick shot of "orange" cleaner or non-abrasive stuff for the really bad gunk (and don't let that guy come back!).

But I would not use anything harsh -- windex (ammonia) though it's probably not too bad, Formula 409 (solvent), WD-40, Goof Off, etc. And never soak 'em. Also stay away from heat. Then store 'em flat and tight.

I think windex will work the best.

Use luke warm water and Dawn dishwater detergent. Add a few drops of vinegar to the solution. Pat dry immediately after washing. Do not apply powder to the cards.

Simple answer: No, I don't think Windex will hurt the cards.

I've never had to use it on mine and I wouldn't.
