HU 50NL, My 3bet pot gets out of control

Postby TheSalche » Wed Apr 23, 2008 1:36 pm GMT

Villain and I have been playing ~ 30 hands. Ten hands or so ago I 3bet and he folded. Next hand I raised with AA, he shoved with AK and I doubled up. Eff stacks of $50

Villain raises to $1.5, hero 3bets to $5.25 with Tc 8h, Villain calls.

Flop: 8c 6h 3c
Hero bets $8, Villain calls

Turn: 5h (Pot ~$25)
Hero checks, Villain shoves for $40, hero kicks himself

The preflop 3bet may be bad. Villain was raising > 2/3 of his buttons and I was trying to play back at him.

hmm smells fishy, i might call this

99+ he would probably have reraised preflop if not on the flop right? any other strong hand raises the flop... usually

smells like some clubs

could be clubs with a 7 so oesd as well, k7c or somthing. maybe he has A8-J8 but he wud raise u on the flop wouldnt he. and could just have 2 overs, JT maybe and he is making a move. i probably call him, imo he is on a draw or making a move with 2 overs.

Beleive me if theres one person who gets in weird spots and makes strange folds its me, but i think i would call this tbh. I think he's either played a huge pp like KK or AA tricky or you have him beat for sure. I cant see many hands that beat you apart from AA,KK here and that is unlikely. CALL

AS nobody else has said it, 3-betting T8o sucks.
