I has a video

Postby kingetje » Sat May 31, 2008 5:08 pm GMT

i recently received a PM asking if i could make a video.. well i downloaded a programm and a while into my first session today i just started recording.

it starts with 2 and a couple minutes later 3 tables of 400NL.. its a half hour and i have no audio in it.. i am a little nervous about speaking enlish as its not my first language and all, so to start out i just left the audio off. i will probably make some more and i will likely talk along with it later

it has some interesting/fun hands i think and im doing some note taking, and generally staying out of trouble and icky spots. its probably best if you watch in full screen/cinema mode to make sure you will catch the ammounts and notes and stuff, at least for me.

hope you enjoy

I have downloaded the file, but I can't play it, missing some codecs or what, wtf.
Btw. King, you didn't post any graph for the longer time already, got bored?

Windows Media Player doesn't have the codecs to play it.

Download VLC player. http://www.download.com/VLC-Media-Playe ... 67151.html

Dub the video and I'll happily watch it (and comment if you like)
I see really no point watching silent video's.

Try it, even for your own benefit.
Talk about ranges you put opponent on. Talk about what you do and why you do it. Talk about your plans for the hand (ie vs this guy I'm going broke with JJ PF or He's very tight so I fold my over pair, or I'm going to peel one and fold to a big turn bet etc...)

Really make you play better when you talk out loud (after you get used to it, you can do it in your head)
also if you watch it after, you can learn from your own mistakes.

I find this is good advice to aid concentration in general. My driving instructor suggested I do a commentary while driving (something required for an advanced licence in the UK) and it helped me a lot.
