2/4 texas at Foxwoods. I get pocket QQ and raise in middle position. Three callers.
Flop comes 9 rag Q rainbow. Old lady bets, guy folds, I raise, guy folds old lady calls.
Turn comes rag. Old lady bets, I raise, she calls.
River comes 9. She bets, I raise, she re-raises and we go back and forth until I'm all-in. I think I had about 40 or 50 bucks at the start of the hand. She shows 9s full, I show Qs full.
My question, should I have kept re-raising her with the possibility of quad 9s?

I personally would have reraised her. There is a small risk she has quad nines. But I would be willing to take that risk.

I would have kept raising,
I got caught in a 3/6 about three years ago going heads up, I had the nut staight and me and another guy kept reraising then he finally called. He saved me the rest of my stack about 100 or so, he had the nut flush, this was in my beginnig days and not much table experience.
Shell learn from it as I did.

He said 9's full so she must have had 9Q.
I would have worried about it (quads) yes, but folded, no.

Why fold you could tell she didnt have a set all the way through. She would have re raised you. She didnt she just called. If she had trips she would want to get the most out of it she could. So i would have played it the same way.

I agree with racquet000. If she flopped trip nines she may have reraised all the way through. I would have played more agressive with trips. I would have been slightly worried but still reraised more.

hmm
I probably would've gone all the way myself, depending on my stack.
I dunno.
On the other hand, we've all been in situations where we say "there's only one possible hand that beats me," and you run headlong into a friggin wall.
I dunno. If you know she's not a player who will recognize the true nuts, which she doesn't sound like, you can probably feel pretty confident re-raising till the cows come home.
Either way, nice take

There's no way in hell I would have folded, but would you have just called at some point or would you keep raising out your chips?

I may not have put all my chips in because you dont have the absolute nuts. However I would ahve raised a bit more. But im an optimist. I figure if they have to have 2 cards to beat me it is unlikely they have em. I figure if im put in a situation where they need 2 specific card to beat me and that it and I reraise over and over every time. Then the odd time I get beat wont be bad because of all the times I will win.

If someone caps the betting after the flop, I assume that they have the nutz.
I would have raised to 3 bets, called the 4th if reraised.
Depends on the player though, so guys will reraise w/ weaker hands.
