Issue with 5StarDeal.com

Postby Nugzy » Mon Mar 21, 2005 6:20 pm GMT

In late January, I ordered a set of poker chips for a friend of mine. He ordered 800 of the NexGen chips. I also chose to pay extra for faster shipping. After about 10 days, I had not received my package yet. I called Trademark/5StarDeal to ask what was going on. They told me that they had not even sent the order yet! They said there was a problem on their end with my mailing address! When were they planning on telling me this?! They could/should have called to let me know and to straighten this out instead of waiting 10 days for me to call them! So they finally straightened things out and the chips were sent.

On March 9th, I ordered a set of Copag cards from their Ebay store. On March 18th, I still had not received the package so I decided to call. Again, my order had not been shipped and I had not been contacted to fix the issue! They refused to send the cards overnight or express, but they sent them out. So today, March 21st, I receive the package in the mail. I open it, and they sent the wrong cards!!! They sent me Jumbo Index of the wrong design, when I ordered regular index with a different design! They told me I could send them back for a refund, but not only would I have to pay to ship back to them, I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee! This is crazy! After arguing with them, they agreed to let me send the wrong cards back, at my expense, and send me the right cards.

I think this whole thing is rediculous, and can honestly say I will never order from 5StarDeal again.

If what you’re saying is true - and I'm sure it is - that is ridiculous. However, I have ordered twice from them and had no issues at all. One order was a set of 1000 composite chips with 7 different colors each with varying odd amounts and they got it perfect.

I've had a couple of issues with 5star sending me wrong chips at two different occassions. Whenever I order the NJ Desert Sands from them, they send me the NJ Skulls instead. Never had a problem with shipping them back and getting money back for shipping.

I cant pay through paypal. I have to go get a money order and mail it to them. A lot of people dont like taking paypal from Canada, i have no idea why.

I also haven't really had any problems with them either after 3-4 orders. However, they did send me a double deck of KEMs, which had 1 deck of casino used KEM's (clipped corners) and 1 good new deck. They said to send it in and they would send a new one, which cost me about 2 bucks.

One problem I have had with 5star....

EVERY SINGLE time I have ordered from them (4 times)...they always forget to send one item or send an incomplete order.

1st time: 4 NJ skulls missing from order of 400.

2nd time: 1 NJ skull missing from order 40.

3rd time: 1 chip rack missing from order of many things.

4th time: missing "Kill" button from order of many things.

Other than that...they are great....can't beat their prices either.

They must do it on purpose just to irritate us--I ordered 1000 faux clays, only got 999, lol.

Sad state of affairs when this has become the acceptable level of customer service in America.
