i still dont like gold, he may be a nice guy and do charity work etc. but from what ive seen he is a douche. seems like a very sly manipulative coward, just my opinion. As for yang and religion id just tell him there is no such thing as god, and laugh in his face

No offense to anyone, but I don't know that you can say for certain that if you were in the moment, with the money on the line, and the cameras rolling, you might not act like a bit of a goofball.
Plus, ESPN has been known to take creative liberties with their editing to produce "heroes" and "villains," via the smear job they did on Josh Arieh/Mike Matusow in 2004. You never know how your antics might come off, even if they were different when they occurred.
Absent of context, it's difficult to make accurate judgments. Certain moments or certain comments might be unacceptable even in a vacuum, but I think you guys are being overly critical of both Jamie Gold and Jerry Yang.
I also notice there has been no discussion of Hachem, who is a reasonably nice guy and a hell of a player, but is the only person in recent years to win the Main Event and been known to be a complete dick to other players under certain circumstances. For all their other faults, Jamie and Jerry have been nothing but respectful to other players, which counts for a lot in my book.

wait aren't you the one that lives, breathes and dies over ESPN and whatever these people's agents release? You're the one that talks every year about who's going to win a bracelet and it just haaaappens to overlap with all the people that have press agents and manage to get themselves on WSOP broadcasts. Coincidence?

If you think I get all my information from ESPN, think again.
Also, I'm pretty sure winning bracelets has more to do with tournament results than press releases. They don't just hand out the wins to people have agents.
Nice try though.

It is certainly true that ESPN, like the makers of anything (eg Big Brother), can get very creative with their editing.
I had no idea that Hachem was a dick until WAY after his WSOP win. Granted that was not due to WSOP editing because to my knowledge, he was not a dick in that tourney but they painted him to be such a nice guy that I was surprised when I found out.
