KEM cards still being made?

Postby johndsoares » Mon Apr 18, 2005 2:24 pm GMT

I was talking to my cousin who sells kem cards at a local tobaco shop and he said that the kem company got bought out and production has stopped. No new kem cards are being made. I was wondering if there was any truth to this. :(

Sure is. Some of the other guys around here have more specific info and I'm sure they will respond but that’s definitely true and one reason why it’s getting so hard to find a good pack without cracked or miss printed cards. If I remember correctly the company that bought them out is the same company that owns Bee or Bicycle.

Search the forum for Kem and you'll see lots of chatter about this subject.

Its true that Kem was bought out by the US Playing Card Co. (makers of Bee, Bicycle, etc).

USPC has restarted making Kem cards. See this link for some more info:

I hear ya. I have used Kems exclusively for years. As soon as I heard about the buy out, I bought up several dozen matching decks to the ones currently in use for replacements. I havn't opened any of them yet. I should be set for life. :) Unless of course one of the decks I have becomes worth millions or something, then I will still be set for life minus a deck of cards :)

It's confirmed,

My retailer friend (builds poker tables and whatnot) just got a shipment of arrows. They have the "BEE" on the ace of spades though. Not like the Ace on the chiptalk forum. I haven't seen them just talked to him.
