Learn From the Pros
Anybody else catch this show regularly? I am always rivited at each episode. It is amazing what these pros are willing to disclose about strategies, etc. Tonight's episode was on tells and reading other players. They tended to focus on them (pros) reading amateurs in their games or at their tourny tables.
An interesting note was the confusion the pros get when a strictly Internet player shows up at a tournament table. They are used to translating clumsiness with chips and cards as lack of experience and a couple of them indicated that they've been burned by someone they labeled as a rube who was a strong player.
Anyway, this is a great series. I wonder if they'll put out a "Season 1" compilation.

good show, I just love watching howard lederer do anything - cool guy
Jennifer harman gave an interesting " tell " I found really interesting that the pro's look THAT in depth for reads.
She said if someone bets and throws there ebt really far out into the table - its as if to say good bye to their money. But when someone bets and keeps the money close to them - its as if they expect to win the money back.
Now this holds 100% not true for myself - but I'm sure she has made it work elsewhere many a time. - great show.

The Learn From the Pros show turns up several times a week on FSN. It's always on after that stupid Bodog show, and I seem to catch it a lot after Best Damn Sports during the week. It also turns up sometimes after a PSI rerun. Check your local listings, it'll probably be on at sometime during the day on most days.

I disagree with groton's opinion of the SuperStars tourny, especially after they added Howard Lederer as a commentator. Even though the format skews the play quite a bit from regular tourny and ring games Howard does a great job of explaining that. His analysis is first rate and that makes the show worthwhile for me.
