Live Tourney - Table Image
About 2 hours into the tourney (been at same table whole time), I had been playing pretty tight. I hadn't lost a showdown (5 in last 45 minutes), showing down big aces/sets. At this point I am just barely in 2nd place chip wise at the table and way ahead of the field average.
My last two preflop raises had gotten no action, so I decided the next time action folded to me in LP, I was going to raise with ATC with the intention of showing my cards win or lose.
Any thoughts on doing this during live tourneys with weakish fields?

i would prefer to raise with atc on btn and not showing, just open up in lp a bit more, since i think tight image is good for mtt play where often u want to have FE and u rely on that to acumulate chips in mid and late stage
so in short, keep the tight image if u can and abuse them this way, dont screw up your image hoping to hit big hands to get paid off

Well, my decision to do this started a chain of events that got me to final table as chip leader.
In the previous 45 min I had busted a two players (AK vs AJ all in pre and set of tens vs AK AI on flop) and shown down a few other 'quality' hands.
The round I decided to see what I could get away with, I had T
2
in CO and it had folded to me. So I made a standard raise to 3bb. Button folded and blinds called. SB was a shortish stack, and BB was the big stack (same guy I wrote about in my other post)
Flop was 9 2 2 rainbow. SB check, BB Bets 3bb. I call, SB pushes AI for about 8BB. BB folds, and I call. He shows something like AT and is out.
A few hands later the A4 hand comes up and after that, I went back to playing premium hands for a while, and ever time I bet, a short stack would push. I remember AK vs K7 (all in pre). KK vs QTo (all in pre) and set of 7's vs AQ on a K87 flop.
I ended up winning (3 for 3 1st place finishes there in past month).
Final tables in this tourney are pretty tricky, as the blinds start doubling every 20 min and soon it gets out of hand. We we ended, blinds were 15K/30K 1K ante and there were only 300K chips in play.
