Looking to buy a set of Bud Jones for my Cash Game
Anyone interested in selling? Looking for a set of 500 or more.. mostly $1 and $5's. Rather not go with the metal inlay. I check ebay daily but BJ is not listed nearly as often as Paulsons.

You can get all the $1's you want for face value at a casino. Other BJs with higher denominations are going to be your problem -- they'll probably be about $2 each or more.
You might consider getting two different $1 BJ chips from different casinos (like a white and a blue) and just calling one of them your $5 chip. A little tacky, but cheaper....
This recent auction did not sell at about a buck apiece (did not meet the reserve), and is representative of the prices people are asking and getting. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEDW:IT
RT Plastics?
If you don't want coin-centered chips, you might look at RT Plastics chips and get some samples from Gamblers General Store: http://www.gamblersgeneralstore.com/ under "Poker Chips" then "Fantasy" down the left.
These are definitely not Bud Jones quality chips, but they look good and play OK. If you like these chips you could get whatever sets you want for a reasonable price.
Their good plastic chips are about 79¢ each. There are some very corny designs, but also some pretty good ones (my opinions, of course... your mileage may vary). I especially like the City of Lights, Las Vegas Starburst, Las Vegas Sign, Kings, and Poker Tournament.
Then there are four better chips, at about $1.00 each. These are the Sands, Dunes, Silver Slipper, and Thunderbird commemorative series of old casinos. They are not as slippery as their standard chips, the inlays are different, and to me they are worth the extra money. Those are as close to a Bud Jones V7 (decal size C) chip as you're going to find.
Sands and Dunes are also available at Apache/Dice702, at a little higher cost but with aluminum case & cards.
(If you want some casino BJ $1's, let me know.)

i guess it doesnt matter if the 1s and 5s are from diff casinos.... so you might as well go ahead and find someone on here to get you the 1s from a casino, and wait until you find a 5 dollar chip that you fall in love with....

Do you want current chips and pay face value?? If so, you would have LOTS of good choices for Bud Jones chips (or Paulsons or any others). It's a lot of money but you'd get the best.
(Actually, it's not as much money as some people are paying for Vineyards or other real chips...)
If you want some suggestions or need help getting chips, just let me know.
