Low prize pool for the PPT?
Im watching the final table for the PPT and they said its a 500k prize pool. That kinda sucks comapred to the 1 million+ for the winner of the WPT. I understand that this is invitation (and i dont think there is a buyin for these players?) but i feel like that prize pool doesnt excite me (if i were playing in it i would be pumped), and also it seems like not too many people get paid when compared to the number of players in the tourney? I like the WPT much better on wednesdays.

There is more coverage of each event, there seems to be more information about the hands and players in the little text blurbs, you get to witness better play by better players. Except for the less than spectacular production and mediocre hosts, I think the PPT is way better than the WPT.

a freeroll is a freeroll ... dont forget its not like every single pro has a WPT or WSOP win under their belt ... if they can make a few hundred grand in one day with no risk at all of course they'll play
also they obviously get the experience of playing against other great players ... its +EV all around

It is too bad about the hosts. I actually like the analysis and think that it is really first rate, but they just aren't polished and their voices are a little grating. I'd sure like to see Phil Gordon comment on this one.
