Mattias Anderson is a cheater? DAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I saw this on another forum and I'd like to share some information with you. Mattias is a self-proclaimed cheater. Paul Phillip wrote in his web blog the following how Mattias admitted to collusion with another player.

I didn't read his interminable trip report all the way through when it first appeared. Neither did anyone else I guess, because only now (as far as I know) did someone point out this excerpt:


"I also remember that JCastle was not in such good shape so when I had pocket 3´s and i missed the flop and was first to act, I did not bluff him because I sort off wanted JCastle to win this pot...Crazy you would think but we had 5 percent of each other. I felt that he did not hit the flop but I checked anyway so he bets! I tell him this during the break and he told me that he was bluffing!"


"Not only did I act like the biggest moron in history, I gladly stole money from all the other tournament participants and laughed about it afterward! Ha ha ha! Crazy you would think! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

I suppose he doesn't even know he was cheating or he would have been a little quieter about it. I shudder to think of how much of this goes on these days.

In addition here is what Josh Areih in his espn.com chat said about it.

Razorbakfan (Maui): Paul Phillips, on his poker blog today, commented on
what he perceived as soft play or cheating by Matthias Anderson during the
WSOP. How prevalent do you think such issues are in the tournaments?

Josh Arieh: It's definitely an issue when there are friends at the table,
but I didn't sense that at all. I played with him for a couple of days and
never noticed anything of the sort.

This has been a topic of discussion for some time now in other forums. In conclusion, Mattias is even more of an a**hole than we thought. Plus he is stupid to admit to cheating. ALL HAIL THE TRAIN!

You don't think ending your posts with "ALL HAIL THE TRAIN!" is along the same attititude that makes people hate Matthias and Matasow? I'm not saying I have a problem with it, keep it up by all means if you want to. It just seems odd that you'd do it after a post about disliking a guy who you find annoying. And who most people find annoying because of his over-the-top antics.

I don't know . . . there's always some collusion and dealmaking in a poker tournament...where's the line between "Let's chop it, or we're going to be here all effing day" and "You bet up to me when I open for 3x the blind...then fold on the turn, K?" . . . what's the general opinion on that?

He admitted to soft-playing a friend. He didn't bet or he folded even though he was pretty sure he had the winning hand. Can be seen as a form of cheating if you have a deal to split prize money with the other person as to sort of get a better chance of making money.

I agree this can be construed as cheating to some, but this is not like he was just dumping chips flat out to him...not like he bet huge..let the guy call him, then folded to the guy the next bet to give him chips.
