my best hand to date...
I'm playing at a NL .25/.50 table. I started with $35 and had worked up to around $50 and then back down to $35 and change... had decided I should pack it in ... the cards weren't coming. I was waiting for the BB to come back around.
I'm sitting two seats to the left of the BB and I get AK.
Player to my right calls. Now I've had some pretty bad luck with AK so I decide to low ball it and see what flops; I call. We get about 4 or 5 other callers.
The flop comes: KKA
I'm stunned
... player to my right bets .50. I call and 4 others call.
Fourth Street: 3
Player to my right bets $1. I raise to $2. One other calls and player to my right folds.
River: 9
I bet $3. Other player raises to $10 and change. I think... I raise to $21. He goes all-in for $60 and I call.
He turns up pocket 3s for a boat 3s full of Ks and I win with Ks full of As.
ahhhh.... it's so nice when things work out the way they are supposed to!!

Nice hand! Nothing personal...but you havent had quads or a str8 frush yet? Or was this the most profitable hand?
I had one 2 nights ago where I was in the big blind w/ Q 2 suited. 8 player pot w/ one raise-I call the raise (3/6 table). Flop is Q 7d 2. I flopped 2 pair, great. By the time it gets to me, I have 3 bets in front of me. I just call. Turn, A, again, 2 bets in front of me, I call. 9 on the river, this time 1 bet and I just call. People turn over, I am the winner. $175 pot! Because of the pot odds, people were calling w/ crap and chasing str8s and flush draws.
I seems like a lot of the bigger pots are won w/ fairly weak hands.

I believe that it was both... best hand rank and most profitable.. :D
I have been playing for about 6 months online (never been in a casino yet) and have not had the success that most of the people on here talk about. I started with $325 and have been down as far as $10 about a month ago.
I have since pulled myself back up to almost breaking even... so there is improvement and no where to go but up!

Yep, nice hand in the sense it was a full boat and nice hand in how your played! Very well IMO! You disguised your hand very well by limping with big slick, I can't say I really love or hate that. Then you disguise your hand again very well by simply calling and letting everyone else overacall. On the turn you made a deceptive raise and you have this guy betting into you consistently! Then on the river you make the logical play putting the guy all-in, great job.

Speaking of hiding hands...I really smoked this dude. I have A 2 in the small, 1 caller and I am up and on a roll, so I raise to $6 on a 3/6 table. Both the big and the other call. Flop comes Ad 8d 2c-so flush in play, nothing else. Looking good, 2 pair. I check to show KQ KJ QJ or pocket pair afraid of the A. BB rasies, other calls, I call the $3. Turn is a 2d. I check raise the BB, the other dude drops out and the BB calls. River, Kd. I check again, hoping he puts me on a low flush or just not the nutz. He bets, I check raise again, he reraises and I cap.
Lucky for me, he had QQ w/ the Q of diamonds.
A few hands later I slow play AA in late position. W/ no callers so far. The same dude calls from the small. Flop comes 3 spades (I have the As). I bet he call. Another spade on the turn, I check, he bets, I reraise.
Poor guy, i was getting amazing cards coming out in the right order. He played his hands right, just ran into a fool catching the nutz.

Just now, as I was reading this forum (on one computer) and playing a tournament on PartyPoker on another, I folded 6-6 on the button after two raises, and the flop was 6-5-5. Oh well.
My best hand online thus far was a royal flush. I've seen others get them too...it doesn't seem that hard. I've had several s flushes (one I flopped in a tournament) and a bunch of quads. I had quads in a real casino on the same table twice one night within an hour (flopped quad 6's and got quad K's at the river the next time). I also had a s flush the very first time I played live in a casino.
Those are my best hands to date.
