Need final table help

Postby nicthestick » Fri Dec 26, 2003 5:31 pm GMT

Well.....Made the final table of a multi at UB again, and again, I failed to seal the deal. I'm not sure how to proceed when I get down to the final 5 or 6 players. The last 2 multis I played in, I was big stacked at the final table, and finished 6th and 5th. Do you just wait it out vs the smaller stacks? I try to be patient, and only play when I think that I have the best of it, but I always seem to run into a big hand...or 3. Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you gotta take chances when you get that medium pocket pair go all in when you get the big pocket cards like AK AQ go all you have to gamble and changing gears is also an important part go into the final table dont play real tight if you have a big stack make a big move if you have a small stack then when the times right shift gears from tight to loose then once they start catching on switch back again

Play a bunch of sit n go's and practice loosening up your strategy as the table empties. I play very very tight with 10 people, and very loose heads up. I win alot of them too. You just need to practice in that situation to refine your strategy, and you can't always wait for a final table, which is why i recommend the sit n gos.
