New Chips on market

Postby Drew » Tue Mar 16, 2004 6:40 pm GMT

Hey folks,

I just ordered a sample set of these but they JUST opened today.
I am not affiliated with these people, but I figure you guys will want to see all of your options.

Let me know how these chips look, feel and play.
I'm on a chip buying hiatus until my table arrives.

That place looks expensive to me. I mean they are selling the chip racks for $10 each. You can easily get them for under $2 each by looking around a little.

The chips themselves I don't know about. The denomination thing kinda kills it. It'd be so much better if they got rid of the whole center thing and just had the cool edge spot design. I look forward to seeing what you think of the samples though.

Got mine today.... edge spots are very cool but the center is just a CHEAP metallic sticker! It's too bad cuz they feel real nice and when you take of the sticker there is a grey inset circle, actually looks better and more unique. They dont pass the magnet test either so there must be some metal filler. Also, .75 is WAY too much, I can get Chipco chips for .70!!! If these were more like .50 and had an actual inset or just NO sticker it may be worth it. Too bad cuz they feel good and the edge spots are great....

I ordered these today, how long did it take to get to your house?? Just wondering when to expect them. Do any other chip makers offer sample sets like these. Im going to be looking for new chips soon and want to test them all out before I make a decision. Thanks

Just got mine today and I agree with what ashVID said, very nice edge spots but the center and denominations kill it.
