New Paulson JB's in action!
A few friends and I had a poker gathering this past weekend. What a great location - his condo has a huge terrace overlooking the harbour in Toronto (check out the photos!). The chips were nice, too!

Anyone else has cool poker party pix?

It's like a "Do you see what is wrong with this picture" situation:
Everything is perfect:
Poker,
Canada,
Condo,
Terrace,
Harbour,
Good times,
Good friends,
Women
AQ VS AK (TOP TWO PAIR ON FLOP)
Beer,
Paulson JB's,
and,
SCCCCCCCCCREEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!!!!!!
TWO OCTOGON K-MART FOLDOUT TABLES COMBINED TO MAKE A "FULL SIZER"??????????????
All you need now is some lipstick cameras installed on those.
BTW, Just kidding, looks fun, cool to see some "action" pics.

lol!
Well, my excuse is that my friend supplied the patio, and I supplied the equipment (tables, 15 folding chairs, chips). The cheap octagonal tables were easier to walk up two flights of stairs.
You know, in Toronto, it's hard to find higher quality but still reasonably price decent sized portable tables. There are very low end table tops or very high end solid wood custom jobs ($1400+) that are not portable. If you import from the U.S., there are huge delivery and customs charges.

I posted this at the scott keen forum, so sorry this is a repeat for some. But since you asked...
Here's a picture of me at my last poker party. You can see the player to the left has a strong hand because she is very confident.
I'm in the middle, and my poker face sucks, or I didn't protect my cards very well, because the player to my right picked up on something and is immediately reaching for chips.
Here's the pic...

LOL, very nice. It looks like they have been pounding your chips for a while. Maybe the cats on the pool table were reading your cards
BTW, did you use the prefab stuff for your rails. I am getting ready to make my first race track style table and I am flipping a coin between the prefab or the standard vinyl and foam.

I made the rail with the whisper vinyl and 1" HD Foam, using the technique from this web site...
http://www.barncow.com/buildpokertable/
If I had to do it all over again, i would not have gone with the 2" of foam on top.. i think it's too cushy and too rounded looking.... I would have just used the 1" foam.
If you are spending the time make a nice race track table, I would without a doubt make your own. It is time consuming and tedious.. but man it looks nice when you are done. Pre-fab would cheapen it.
