New Vineyards?

Postby stevcha » Fri May 13, 2005 4:47 pm GMT

Have you guys seen these new Vineyards on Ebay:

I didn't realize someone else replicated these using Blue Chips. They look pretty close to the originals.

just currious... what's the deal with the vineyards? i'm not exactly sure why they're so popular. i have nothing against them or anything... i'm just genuinely currious.

i mean the place was open for what... like a year? it's not like these are chips from a major (and popular) vegas casino. why have they become so popular?

I think it's just because they are good looking chips with a nice theme. Plus, Paulsons are just popular in general right now due to the poker boom. And yeah, being from a real casino, however small or unpopular, does add to their mystique.

These were samples made by BlueChip for Ace of acepokerchipcompany.com . He was planning on making a new set of vineyards, but when he felt how amazingly horrible they felt, he opted not to.

That answers my next question. I was gonna ask if AcePoker was aware of these. Thanks!

This was posted by ace on another board:

This was posted by me in another thread!

Dave Endy made me a sample of these chips a while back when I was in the market for a new Vineyard chip.

Like the BC Fan of cards and Viva Las Vegas chips, they were as slippery as the 11.5 dice chips, even though the chip looked great. There is nothing I hate more than slippery chips, so I turned down the BC option.

This idea was then sold to David Fleming (current seller), and he went on to produce them with my permission.
