Nice deck of cards

Postby LCFC17 » Tue Feb 27, 2007 4:41 pm GMT

Can anyone recommend a decent set of proper plastic cards for £10-15 max.

Two of my friends have recently bought some copag double packs from eBay and they are nice but they have taken both the red + green and red + blue styles, and I dont want to copy :P so if there are any better ones that will outdo them I'd love to hear about them :-D

I wouldn't worry about copying. Get the set you want. Copags are very nice. I have a set of the green and burgundy and I love them.

Dal Negro Freedoms are nice, but stiffer.

I haven't tried the new Kems yet, but they have a club set that I think is brownish-gold and green.

But does anyone recommend a deck of cards that they find better than copag card?

or are copag the best to go for?

I wont be buying them for a while , after I get 2 DVD's that come out in march so im in no rush.

There is no best. The best cards are the ones you like the most. Some people like Kem, some Copaq, some Dal Negro, some Gemaco. It's all a matter of opinion.

One thing about plastic cards is that they feel a bit different than paper cards. They're more flexible, and some people find some brands esp. Copags slippery. Some people find it annoying. Dal Negros are perhaps the most like paper cards in feel, Kems are probably the least like paper (they're quite floppy feeling compared to paper cards), Copags are somewhere in the middle.

Copags come in a nice plastic case, Kems and DN in cardboard, so that's a nice bonus with Copag.

I like Copags and Dal Negros about equally well, I guess my ideal would be Copags that felt like DNs. Kems are my least favorite.

I've used Copags for a few years and liked them very much. But I recently got in a Group Buy of Modianos and am now a convert. I love my Modianos!! They are a bit stiffer than the Copags and the surface texture is a bit rougher and that makes for easier control when shuffling.

Get what you like, but dont pass up a chance to try new brands.

Hi, new here!

I got some Modianos Cristallo purple/green and red/blue, plastic, 4 pip, large index and I really like to play with them! The colors do not fade as some Copag do and they are stiff but not that much. As Karma say I love them.
Kem are also he best but for a beginner like me they are too expensive to destroy

You might have bought your deck already but I recommend you a try of Modianos.
